FactoidPianist and Conductor Julian Gallant somehow managed to play the piano on this and conduct it. The Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns was written in 1886, but was only written for fun. He refused to allow the work to be perfomed in his lifetime (with the exception of the Swan) so the work was first published in 1922, a year after the composer's death.
