The story behind the sound
Hamish Fingland contributed vocal and guitar work for the Scottish alternative folk rock band Kassidy, before spinning off with other members to form electro post-punk group White for a period of time. Both of these bands gave Hamish the opportunity to hone his songwriting craft. He has also backed up Lucia Fontaine under the name Roxy Agogo. When not rocking, he can also be found DJ-ing. Hamish puts his rock experience to work as manager for Glasgow quartet The Ninth Wave. No matter the name or band, it’s Hamish’s distinctive guitar work that sets him apart and this is true with his compositional work as well. Anthemic, indie, or heavy rock, his fingerprints are unmistakeable.
