The story behind the sound
Alex Crawford is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who grew up immersed in the diverse sounds of London’s music scene. Classically trained at the Royal College of Music, Alex draws on a wide range of influences, though his music feels most at home in the worlds of soul and R&B. His sensibilities are tuned to the organic sound of the 70s, always striving to emulate the feel and sonics achieved on the classic albums of the decade. Key inspirations include Stevie Wonder and Bill Withers, as well as D’Angelo, Moonchild and PJ Morton. An in-demand session guitarist, Alex also performs with and writes for the London-based band The Odd 910.
