FactoidErik Satie died in 1925. He wrote Gymnopedie in 1891. He was a bit of a wag and made up silly titles like "Three Pear Shaped Pieces". Gymnopedie is the same route as the word gymnasium which comes from the Greek 'Gymnos' which means nude. In ancient Greece they liked to do their exercise in buff.
