The story behind the sound

Fake Blood is London-born producer Theo Keating. Raised on a staple diet of 80s pirate radio, hip hop and dance music, Keating began DJing and making demos as a teenager and found himself signed by the mid-90s. In 2007, he created the Fake Blood persona as an anonymous side project, before wild international success led to him pursuing the project full time. Soundtracking clubs, raves and festivals the world over with hits like 'Mars' and 'I Think I Like It', Keating’s unique production style has influenced many other artists and producers, leading to a torrent of remix requests from acts including Hot Chip, Gossip, Underworld, Miike Snow and Calvin Harris. Other career highlights include setting up his label Blood Music, writing a solo LP, releasing a mix album for London club Fabric and re-scoring Dario Argento's Suspiria for the BFI. Keating continues to DJ globally, alongside experimenting with new music under various guises.
