The story behind the sound
Taran Mitchell is an Irish composer who works with Grammy-winning Lorne Balfe at Remote Control Productions in LA. Taran has contributed music to some of Hollywood’s biggest films and TV series including, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Dopesick, Wheel of Time, Sherwood and the soon-to-be-released, Life On Our Planet for Netflix. Born in Ireland and with a childhood that took him all over the world, Taran’s draw to music was evident from the age of just 5, when he could play anything on the piano by ear. He has evolved into a prolific and versatile multi-instrumentalist with the ability to write across any genre - from natural history to horror and everything in between. Taran currently resides in Santa Monica, with frequent trips home to his family and friends in the Emerald Isle.
