The story behind the sound
Singer-composer Sidhant Kapoor grew up with legendary Indian singer Mahendra Kapoor as his grandfather and actor-singer Ruhan Kapoor as his father. Not only did Sidhant study Classical Indian Music under Pandit Murli Manohar Shukla ji, he also trained in Jazz with Sir Xavier Fernandes. His formal education included post-graduate studies in Music Composition at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music in London. From this diverse background, he started to blend elements of Indian music with western instruments for a sound all his own. Sidhant’s compositional work has not only earned him accolades in competitions, it’s also been placed to shows on channels including BBC, MTV, Discovery, and Sky in addition to films from a host of different countries.
