The story behind the sound
Birmingham emcee Lady Sanity has been steadily building a strong reputation for her hard-hitting flow and blend of grime, 90s hip hop and jazz influences. With a 2017 GRM Daily Get Rated Award under her belt, performing at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Australia along with two Birmingham Music Awards for Best Solo Female Artist 2018 and 2019 respectively, Lady Sanity’s place in the UK music scene is fast ascending, having been selected by BBC Introducing WM as a One to Watch for 2020 with support from BBC Radio 1. Her latest release focuses on a number of social injustices that have and are still currently taking place in the UK and globally against the black community. Sanity uses her right to honest artistic expression through free-flowing conscious lyricism.
