The story behind the sound
Whether capably backing Jamie Cullum as a singer, guitarist, pianist, and trumpeter on tour across the globe or composing at Abbey Road Studios, Australian Sam Wedgwood has established his unique musical talents. A classically trained trumpeter, his diverse array of skills are particularly on display at solo performances where he assembles the sound of a full live band all by himself. On top of this, he knows what it takes to fill a dance floor. It is his awareness of the pieces needed for a full sound, how they fit together, and artistry that empower Sam to excel in the studio. His whimsical melodies create a fun and frolicking world, but he’s also capable of delivering contemplative moments as well.
