The story behind the sound
Richard Lacy's musical journey began with a second-hand Hammond C3 organ, a gift from his father that sparked his passion for music creation. This early inspiration eventually led him to establish his first recording studio in the late 1980s, where he honed his skills under the guidance of experienced producers and engineers. In 1996, Richard embarked on a new chapter, composing music for an agency. This endeavour began a fruitful partnership with his long-time friend and fellow composer, Barrie Gledden, with whom he collaborated for nearly two decades. In addition to his work as a composer, Richard showcases his talents as a synth player for the Sheffield-based band From A Window.
