The story behind the sound
Born in Dublin and based in London, Rachel Barror is an acclaimed singer-songwriter and classically trained pianist, sometimes operating under the alias Glór. A regular session singer around London, she has toured as a vocalist with various bands across Europe and Asia, alongside releasing her own tracks on imprints including Sweat It Out Records and Spinnin’ Records. Rachel's previous songwriting collaborators include Steve Dubs (Chemical Brothers), Ruadhri Cushan (Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran) and Johnny Rockstar (Sugababes). She has also co-written tracks for Sony, one of which was nominated for the Meteor Choice Music Prize for Irish Song of the Year. Her recent cover of 90s classic ‘Young At Heart’ boasts over a million streams on Spotify.
