The story behind the sound
Peter Mayne is an award-winning composer for television, film, brand advertising and online media. Counting the BBC, ITV and Sky amongst his recent clients, works of Peter’s have been recorded by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. For the past decade, he has worked closely with fellow composer David Arnold on a variety of projects, most notably BBC Children in Need. In addition, Peter has composed music for more than 55 charity commercials to date, including for Save The Children, Plan, Concern, Action Aid, Sightsavers and Friends of the Earth. A professor of Electronic Music at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Peter’s non-commercial projects include interactive music and image installations for the Edinburgh Festival, as well as the development of audio and electronic music software and hardware.
Peter has composed music for more than 55 charity commercials to date, including for Save The Children, Plan, Concern, Action Aid, Sightsavers and Friends of the Earth.
