The story behind the sound
The son of a musician, Pete Davis guessed the notes his father played before he could read. The discovery of synths opened a whole new world for Pete in the late 80’s, paving the way for computer-based composition and work as a keyboardist and programmer. Pete joined Marius de Vries to contribute to films “The Eye of the Beholder” and ""Moulin Rouge.” He’s worked with The Spice Girls, Bjork, and Gwen Stefani, amongst others. Pete partnered with James Banbury to form Dadahack, an electronic music and design group. The pair went on to create their joint music company Component. Within one year of operation, Component created the music in campaigns for Cathay Pacific, Head & Shoulders, Tropicana, and Marriott.
