The story behind the sound
English composer Patrick Hawes wholeheartedly embraces the English musical tradition. He devised the Highgrove Suite for HRH Prince Charles, the Prince of Wales and drew inspiration from the Norfolk coast to create twelve piano pieces during his tenure as Composer in Residence at Classic FM. He is also the fastest ever and highest new entry into the station’s Hall of Fame for his album Blue in Blue, also nominated for a Classical Brit Award. His golden contributional touch has led to albums by Voces8, Julian Lloyd Webber, and Hayley Westenra to reach Number 1 on the classical charts. His majestic choral symphony work can be heard in The Great War Symphony, premiered at the Royal Albert Hall.
