The story behind the sound
One could say that Jazz is the marrow of Londoner Miles Bould’s bones, instilled in his youth through his father’s work as engineer and producer for legends like Gil Evans, Stan Tracey, and Tubby Hayes. Miles’ drum studies started at twelve with the gift of a set of conga drums and a lesson from Dizzy Gillespie and he never looked back… because when Dizzy sets you on a path, you follow it. At fifteen he was clubbing and by sixteen he started his career as a session percussionist. He has since worked with illustrious talents including Beyoncé, Sting, Michael Jackson, Tina Turner, and even Elvis. Recently, Miles took on the role of music director and drummer for Shaun Escoffery.
