The story behind the sound
Growing up in Bermuda, the hip-hop, reggae, R&B, and neo-soul music of Matthew Bento is infused with island flavour. His musical career began when he started writing in his teens. He took that raw skill and honed it at the Berklee College of Music in Boston and the Point Blank Music College in the UK. Upbeat, bop your head to the sound music is the forte of the combined forces of Matthew Bento and Matt Goodman. The 90s influence is deep-seated and readily noticeable in their rhythm section. This music harkens back to a more innocent and fun time. One of their songs was featured in a season four episode of the Stars show Power.
