The story behind the sound
Having grown up as a violinist and pianist, Jono Buchanan became obsessed with synths and electronic music as a teenager. After graduated in music from the University of York, he moved to London, finding work as a trance and house music remixer, producing mixes for Whitney Houston, LeAnn Rimes, Pet Shop Boys and many others. For the past decade, he’s focused his attentions on composing for picture and sound design, with hundreds of syncs secured on TV, radio and commercial spots with leading broadcasters and global brands. Alongside an extensive production music folio, Jono lectures in Electronic Music at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama and is one of the UK’s leading music technology journalists.
