The story behind the sound

The lead-singer of Australian band Tenderfoot, John Vella is a composer and an ARIA and Golden Guitar-nominated producer working across film, TV and advertising. Famed for his heartfelt music, John’s compositions have connected with audiences in successful campaigns for QANTAS, AMEX, Sydney Opera House, Harley Davidson and Hello Fresh. Meanwhile, his score for Super Cheap Auto’s ‘Mission Improbable’ campaign contributed to the piece winning Best Integrated Marketing Campaign at the 2020 World Retail Awards. As a film composer, John has scored the feature documentary Tall Poppy with long-time collaborator Benjamin Corbett. John also worked with fellow Audio Network composer David Holden on the US film Saving Paradise.

Famed for his heartfelt music, John’s compositions have connected with audiences in successful campaigns for QANTAS, AMEX, Sydney Opera House, Harley Davidson and Hello Fresh.
