The story behind the sound
James Rapson is a performer, songwriter, producer and sound engineer, earning his degree in Creative Music and Sound Technology from Leeds Metropolitan University. While his primary instrument is the alto saxophone, he is a multi-instrumentalist, turning his hand to the piano, clarinet, guitar and vocals. James met Tim Clay at university and they have since performed together in various bands and released a number of EPs, albums and a feature-length film soundtrack. After receiving numerous requests for music from commercial companies, they officially teamed up as Klong in 2016. Since then they have worked with clients including adidas, BMW, Ellesse, TRESemmé, Paul Smith, Ace & Tate and MTV.
