The story behind the sound
Award-winning songwriter Jake Field first discovered he had a passion for music at four, while hammering the piano along to his Dad’s record collection of Rhythm and Blues, Country and Rock ‘n’ Roll. After spending his teenage years performing in various bands he decided to study at the Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA) where he finetuned his composition skills and gained a BA Hons in Music. Jake’s since built up a great portfolio of songs, crafting his lyrics and melodies between London, LA and Nashville. Jake has produced and penned songs for a number of A-list artists and gained a platinum-selling UK number one album and three UK top 40s. More recently, he has moved into composing for video games (That’s You, Knowledge is Power, Decades - Sony Games) and for film - smash hit comedy Fisherman’s Friends and upcoming release Blithe Spirit.
