The story behind the sound
Australia’s Crystal Cities are graduates of The Australian Institute of Music. Geoff Rana’s evocative vocals and guitar are complemented by bassist Jared King and Daniel Contie on drums to create what the three-piece describe as ‘dream rock’. The tracks are an intriguing mix of dreamy pop and dark indie that explore the boundaries of social ideologies, political structure and inequality whilst blending perfect harmonies. They reached an indie milestone by charting at No. 1 on the jjj Unearthed Rock Chart and being the 19th most added new release on the NACC Radio 200 Chart.
