The story behind the sound
Eduardo Arantes Barreto is a Brazilian film composer and electronic music artist based in Los Angeles. A DJ and producer in Brazil for over a decade, he moved into film and television composing in 2012 for the BBC feature documentary The Odyssey, working alongside the award-winning composer Antonio Pinto. Eduardo was lead composer on the feature films and documentaries Selfless, El Chapo, Cocaine Godmother, The Devil Next Door, Runner and Blood on The Wall, as well as for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony. As a multi-instrumentalist and electronic programmer, Eduardo has provided additional composition on the Oscar-winning feature documentary Amy and the highly successful video game franchise, Need for Speed: Heat. His most recent projects include the Netflix docuseries SanPa: Sins of the Savior, Sundance documentary Oaxacalifornia and the Apple TV series, The Mosquito Coast.
Eduardo was lead composer on Selfless, El Chapo, Cocaine Godmother, The Devil Next Door, Runner and Blood on The Wall, as well as for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony.
