The story behind the sound
The only endorsement you need for Chris Blackwell is to know rock royalty Robert Plant brought him on to drum on world tours and record Platinum-selling albums with him, which led to a Grammy nomination. After the experience of recording albums and songs with Plant, Chris was inspired to transition into recording and composing himself. From stage to studio, Chris has recorded at Abbey Road with The Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and his work has been used in multi-award winning campaigns for Reebok and Levi’s, amongst others. While some composers work out their ideas with paper and pencil, Chris prefers a tactile approach — to hit things or coax instruments and computers into reproducing what he hears in his head.
