The story behind the sound
Prolific TV composer Ben Bromfield brings a playful and unfettered spirit to his eclectic compositions. A lifelong jazz pianist, Ben’s music is discovered through the practice of improvisation and crosses and combines many different genres. He is known for his Primetime Emmy-nominated work as the co-composer of Netflix's Ginny and Georgia, as well as his scores for several animated television series. Although jazz is his musical alma mater, Ben started his professional career as a music director at the famed Second City, where he collaborated with exceptional comedy talent and imprinted a certain whimsicality into his music. Whether scoring scenes that are comedic or dramatic, there is a levity to his approach in the discovery of a fresh, dynamic sound.
