The story behind the sound
Manchester native Andy Chandler began his musical career writing songs at just eleven years of age. While the soulful stylings of Ray Charles, Otis Redding, and Tom Waits were early inspirations, it was Radiohead, Elbow, and Kings of Leon that truly unlocked his creativity. Earlier in his career, Andy was invited to Abbey Road for the BBC Musician Masterclass as one-third of Santiago Sound Machine. He later triumphantly returned to the studios to record string accompaniment for his Audio Network release, coming full circle. Andy’s music has been heard on Neighbours, Coronation Street, and Blue Peter. Beyond his solo efforts, Andy has also partnered up with Alice Penrose to create their joint debut EP of five tracks fusing EDM, drum & bass, and contemporary pop
