The story behind the sound
Galway, Ireland native and world traveller Amie Doherty works as a composer and orchestrator in Hollywood, CA. She received the 2013 ASCAP Foundation Harold Arlen Award and was awarded the 2016 Sundance Institute/Time Warner Foundation Composer Fellowship after attending the Sundance Institute Music & Sound Design lab. Her orchestration and conducting work can be heard on small screen hits including “Fargo,” “The Night Of,” “Legion,” “Counterpart,” and “Altered Carbon.” Amie also worked as assistant orchestrator for the John Legend’s All Of Me World Tour as well as Ben Folds' 2015 album “So There” and its supporting tour. She holds a BA from Trinity College in Music Technology and a Master’s Degree from Berklee college in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games.
